Genuine Vintage IBM THINK Desk Sign and THINK Pad
THINK Granite Desk Sign / Plaque:
12.2 oz of white granite with gray marble.
Base 2 inches, height 1 3/8 inches, length 5 3/8 inches.
Top flat 'shelf' = 3/4 inch, slanted part is 1 7/8 inches
THINK letters are 3/4 inch tall, embossed in the granite and painted black
IBM letters on back are 3/8 inch tall, also embossed in the granite and painted black
Black felt pad covers the bottom of the granite
Black THINK IBM Pad
4 1/2 inches tall, 3 inches wide
Black cover is stamped "Genuine Cowhide"
Cover is in excellent condition, the cowhide has some natural wrinkles it in that give the pas a bit of a wave.
Gold THINK letters on front are 1/4 inch tall, 1 5/16 inch wide
Stamped in gold on the back are three phrases that cover 1 1/4 top to bottom and 1 3/4 inch wide:
"RESPECT FOR THE INDIVIDUAL", "CUSTOMER SERVICE", "EXCELLENCE"
The pad of paper inside is unused, original condition
Inside are printed GOALS, covering a 2 inch by 2 inch square:
GOALS: GROWTH, PRODUCT LEADERSHIP, EFFICIENCY, PROFITABILITY
The back cover has the wording "BLACK THINK BOOK FORM NO.Z320-0616" and "PAD REFILL FORM NUMBER G520-6431"
My father worked for IBM as one of it's first programmers. These are remembrances from his career that we wish to share with you instead of keeping them stored in a box.
